Isaac Martens
Isaac Martens is an X-ray diffraction scientist in the Structure of Materials and X-ray Nanoprobe groups at the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) on beamlines ID-31 and ID-01. His current position focuses on improving the accessibility of advanced synchrotron analytical techniques towards the battery industry. He completed his PhD in Chemistry at the University of British Columbia in Fall 2018 under the supervision of Profs. D.P. Wilkinson and D. Bizzotto.
Outside the lab, you can find him scuba diving in the ocean below, or peering up through a telescope.
