Postdoctoral Researcher, European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (2019-2022)
Commercialized advanced materials chacterization techniques using X-rays for applications in the Li-ion battery industry. Developed and piloted full-service consulting platform TEESMAT (www.teesmat.eu) for materials analytical problems with >15 industrial clients ranging from local startups to multinational partners.
Junior Scientist, European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (2018)
Local contact responsible for jointly supervising and executing scientific program for beamline users with a portfolio of synchrotron analytical tools (XRD, SAXS, XPS, etc). Sample environment development, and in-situ diffraction of electrochemical systems.
Research Assistant, Wilkinson/Bizzotto groups, University of British Columbia (2012-2018)
Developed spectroscopic and microscopic techniques for characterizing electrocatalyst surface interactions with polymer electrolytes. Fabricated fuel cell catalyst layers using alternative, scalable thin-film technologies such as electroless deposition.
Analytical Chemistry Teaching Lab Assistant, University of British Columbia (2016-2018)
Managed several undergraduate laboratory chemistry courses for faculty member on sabbatical. Supervised teaching assistants and handled student evaluation.
Research Technologist, Petrochemicals Team, Internship Program, NOVA Chemicals (2012)
Handled analytical and synthetic chemistry needs for team of twenty chemical engineers. Helped devise novel catalysts for a pilot-scale process, as well as method development for trace analysis of petrochemical feedstocks. Twelve month full-time cooperative term.
